Storm Above VLA. 16”x20”; Acrylic on canvas
It’s been a long time since I visited the VLA near Magdalena, NM but it was one of my favorite random places when we used to live out west. One of my other favorite things about living in the desert was the storms we’d get. They wouldn’t last long, but when they came, they would shake the earth. I wanted to combine two of my favorite things from New Mexico in one painting.
